Go on then, tell us all about it.

I spent the weekend plumbing, plastering, painting and papering. It would be nice to know someone was out there enjoying themselves.

Steve

Apologies for not reporting sooner Mr Secretary

Well a few braved the elements and went down for a flipping good scrape.  The water was very low and a little chilly

We didn't enter any of the events as our aim was to demo as many boats as possible.

Matt and myself didn’t turn up until late on Saturday and met Darren and Fiona who had been down most of the day, paddled in the morning and adding to Santa’s shopping list in the afternoon .

We then left a couple of mm of plastic from the Big Dogs we both demoed along the course of the river.

We arranged to meet up with Darren and Graham on Sunday of which we took all of the play boats from the Brookbank stand and went to play. We were later joined by mike (when he managed to peel the mattress of his back).  We all swapped boats during the run, 3 hours later we took them back. Oops need to learn how to tell the time.

We all did the full run which was an experience for those that have not paddled play boats before.  The experience of recent trips was evident in all as everyone was surfing in the broken weir not only forwards, sideways and backwards.

We all then spent a good hour at the squirt spot.   Everyone got the stern dip off to a fine art and Matt performing his first moving water roll, as he dipped the backend of the Jackson allstar and completely looped it. Mike nailed very one of his rolls (3 in total I think) doing the same.

This nearly turned into a very expensive weekend we for me nearly 2 boats and a new paddle (I will have to work on the command cashier)

A good laugh had by all

Steve
Took Jack and he tried several play boats & really enjoyed himself.
I took a 15' & 16' open boats down the river great fun, and surfing is really easy in them.
Great day and was fairly quiet on the river.
