I would like to take a Dagger Nomad for a test paddle and am thinking of going to the Tryweryn on Sunday 24th to do this. There are several possible plans:
1) Just do the upper section, concentrating on breaking in/out from the Chipper to the top of the Graveyard and then doing a final run down to the campsite.
2) Doing a full run from the Chipper down to Bala.
3) Getting in at the Campsite and doing a run down to Bala.
What I do will depend on who wants to go and of course if there is a release. This will not be an offical club trip and we would be paddling as a group of friends. In saying this however, I am trying to build up to my 4 star river leader award and leading the bottom section is part of this.
The Tryweryn is a good grade 2 on the lower section (with one grade 4 drop which can be portaged), the upper section is grade 3+, if you are not sure if you would cope ask any of the more experienced paddlers.

Carl,
I should be ok for this date - is this instead of your proposed Tryverwyn trip in September?
Thanks |

| No, this is an extra trip so that I can try out a boat, Steve can't make it so we could perhaps go to Mile End Mill instead. |

It is looking like it's going to be Mile End Mill.
Mike, at this moment the Tryweryn is probably too much, given that once you start you are more or less committed to paddling down to Bala. However, Mile End Mill is like the Burrs except wider, cleaner and more interesting, you will be okay for that trip. |
