| Yep - it was a bit of a rock dodge in places - blame has been apportioned to my goggles (ahem)! |

The water was just about high enough to make a Rammy run possible, but as a consequence the rapids become much more technical with lots of rock dodging involved.
The trip started at Nuttal park and after only a few yards we were in the fairly continuous grade 3 section making boat recovery problematic. We continued under the cafe bridge and then Taylor's weir. The rest of the river was fairly flat until we reached the Burrs site which because of time limitations we simply ran straight down.
With regard to Graham's swims, I do think it had a lot to do with the goggles he was wearing as it is difficult to read the water with these on, so I think this is a really good excuse
This was a good prep for the Tryweryn; we have run the Washburn (which provides practise for the speed, waves and drops) and the run today provided experience of technical rapids. |

Now I see the event co-ordinator's cunning plan.
