Sunday 16th AugWell, just a quick thanks to those that turned up yesterday especially to Graham who kindly offered to be my Chauffeur....... 
Nice turnout of Myself, My chauffeur, Bruce and Mike - not bad for an impromptue sunday paddle.
Unfortunately the water level was pretty low 
but hey - its still water 
Graham and I ran the wier and then bum scraped down to rendevous with Bruce and Mike above the Broken Weir. Saw a Kingfisher as well which was pretty good!!!! We had a play there for a bit - well the others did anyway!!!!! We ran the rest of the river playing at the usual spots but it was all pretty tame. Mike and Bruce wanted to get off then, Bruce for his roast Chicken dinner.......
This left Graham and myself, we opted for another quick run - seeing as we were there!
One of the things I love about this sport is the way that when you are struggling to do something right (and that is most of the time), someone will stop and kindly offer advice. It's not always good advice but it is always well intentioned! As it happens we landed lucky on sunday, we illicted the help of a very nice man from the bank who was obviously a good paddler, his suggestions paid dividends and I reckon both myself and Graham benifitted from his words of wisdom. So many thanks to him 
Thanks again to those that came out to play, I enjoyed my first paddle for ages, hopefully I will be able to get out a bit more in the future!!!!!
