September tripThe official for September is of course the Sea Kayak weekend. However, I would like to propose an additional day out at the Tryweryn during the weekend of the 5/6th Sepetember.
This river is basically in two parts, the upper section is fairly advanced, although some members new to this river are probably ready to take the plunge (no pun intended), whilst the lower section is a hard grade 2 and would be suitable for most members who have had a season on the Burrs, ask if unsure.
Links are as follows for more information:

I've not checked to make sure there is a release yet, but will do so in the next few weeks.

Would love to go, but am on holiday then... The only weekend I can do in September is the 26th - 27th Sept, but also is the weekend after sea kayaking.
Could also do the 10th and 11th October if it's not too chilly.

I'd be interested in this one as well Carl, but would probably prefer to do the lower section.
Thanks

Dates can be changed; we don't have to stay overnight so we can perhaps look at this nearer the time.

Carl ive noticed that the Pyrana Fest is the following weekend 12th-13th on the Tryweryn, i was wandering if that would be worth looking at doing

I would be up for the Tryweryn on either 5th or 6th, but wouldn't be going for the weekend since we're also away later in the month.
It would be good to do what we did last year and run the lower before shuttling back up to have a play on the upper, but we'd need to be sharper and get on the water earlier to make sure we had time to play.
As Carl says, lots of our members should be OK on the lower (portaging Bala Mill Falls) - imagine lots of bits like Hack Falls & Sleningford Mill, closer together and continuous for 6km-ish. Some are ready for a play on the eddy-hopping section above the Graveyard and a few could chance running the whole upper section. That is of course at your own discretion as our "official" coaching remits fall over well before that.
All followed by tea and cake in the cafe while laughing at the screaming rafters.

I'd forgot about the 'facial injury', in reality I had simply cut myself shaving!
