PMR two-way radiosSo, no-one wants a helmet with a two-way radio in it; I can see how hearing “for God’s sake not that way!” in your ear just as you started down a rapid could be a distraction.
However, more seriously, I have a set of cheapo two-way PMR radios which I have used an odd time when out on the bikes or walking with the kids. I’ve had them for years, they don’t get used much but seem to work OK over reasonable distances.
I was wondering if anyone else has any or has used them a lot. I can see that they might be a useful thing to stash in a boat (at least two boats, obviously) on trips or maybe in a waterproof case that means they could be carried in a BA (or gaffer taped to a helmet to counter-balance the Carl-cam  ). I’ve got a waterproof case for my phone but obviously there isn’t always a signal in some of the places we might end up.
Any thoughts?
