New Arrival!I've finally managed to buy my own boat ... but not paddled it yet But, I'm sure it'll be OK, or at least I'll have a different excuse for Confession Number 2!
I still have the club boat, what's the best way of returning it? I only have two second class stamps.....

Hi Mel
Congratulations on the new toy– what sort of boat is it?
I assume that you’ll be out playing in it on Wednesday, so if you take the club boat as well then I’ll pick it up (I probably won’t be there until after 8:00, so I’ll be heckling, not paddling). If you can’t take both boats along then we can make other arrangements. I don’t think there’s any immediate rush to collect it, although I’m sure you’ll want it out of the way.
I’m not sure stamps stick very well to polythene, and anyway the postman would have a problem with getting it through the letterbox, although paddles are apparently possible, see here: http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.u...3d2b2507bd4cccb005e51a85dd#192339

It's a pyranha recoil... It's probably getting the same reaction from you all as when I take my car into the garage for repair.... (Lots of hmm, not too sure about this or outright laughing!).

Sounds like you've bought a good boat, there is a few seconds of it in action on utube (search for pryranha recoil).

The Recoil looks like a good river-running boat - hope you enjoy it.
The beauty of owning your own boat is that you can fit it out to suit yourself, which will bring your paddling on by itself as you're not rattling round inside. You will learn to love the smell of Evo-Stik as you stick bits of foam here & there to get it right.

Hi Mel,
Lovely looking boat, and it was well and truely christned last night - nice one!
I hope that you enjoy paddling in it.
