Holiday seasonNow that the kids are on school holidays it is likely that attendance on Wednesday evenings will drop off over the next few weeks. If there are no 'senior' paddlers present is it up to those meeting at the Burrs what they do. Most members are now at what we would call the intermediate paddler stage and therefore should be okay to paddle without club coaches being there. However, if you have any doubt it is best to perhaps miss out sections or paddle on the flat water section above the weir. As a general rule of thumb, if you can see all the steps on the right hand side then the weir is safe.

I'm back from hols now, but won't be paddling this week (Wed 13th Aug) as I've sprained my wrist in a jet-ski incident - it would appear that even having motor propulsion doesn't stop me swimming on flat water!!!

I won't be out this week either - I'm up in the far frozen North of Scotland (working, sort of) from tomorrow and won't get back until late Wednesday.
Have a good one, I should be back out on the 20th.
Bad luck Graham, obviously non-motorised watersports are safer, if not any drier. Hope it heals up soon.

Darren,Chris and Fiona not coming this Wed 13thHi folks
We have decided to give it a miss this Wedesday due to not many instructors being present. We thought it would not be fair on the other paddlers.
