Good news from Canolfan Tryweryn (yah-boo to JJ's)Looks like the incident has JJ’s, and the outcry on UKRGB, has made the WCA review their slightly hypocritical position with regard to charging “for facilities” on the Tryweryn. See here:

As of yesterday, access to the river is free, with perhaps a charge for parking, which seems very reasonable and more in line with their access policy:

This makes September’s trip there much more attractive, since the charge was £7.00 for BCU members, but a whopping £14.00 for non-members which I think was steep for those paddling the lower section.
It seems they can finance the excellent centre facilities from rafting and special events - I’m sure if JJ’s got their act together they could fund their ropey set-up in a similar way. With CT free, why would anyone go to Llangollen?
