February Trip: River CrakeSome interest has been shown in running the Crake next weekend (Saturday 21st February). This river should be suitable for novice paddlers (but not absolute beginners). If you are interested please let me know.

Hi guys,
Sorry, won't be able to do this one, fairly chaotic few weekends coming up.
Shame, because I'd like to do the Crake again with water in after running it last month on the 4* course. It is a good intermediate run, but quite a step up from Burrs. The last rapid is a lowish grade III, but it can't be portaged or inspected as it's surrounded by gardens. If you paddle the river you will have to run this bit.
Have fun

Can't make the pool session tonight (18th Feb) but it looks like the river is going to be too low and several members can't make it anyway, suggest we aim to get out perhaps the weekend after.
