End of pool sessions & summer programmeEDITED: Please note - pool sessions will now continue until 9 April - see the other post for details.
Pool sessions will carry on through March; the last one will be on Wednesday 26th. Wednesday evening meets will take place outside starting from 2 April, venue to be publicised nearer the time, but probably initially at Burrs for the first few weeks. Obviously, with sunset between 19:45 - 20:00, these will be short sessions, so we’ll try to start early. Latecomers will need to sprint down the bank to catch up.
Hopefully the programme for the summer will include some variety in the sort of water we paddle, and we’ll try to get to a few different locations, particularly as the light evenings arrive and we can travel a bit further afield.
I will update the website when I get a chance, but please note the following dates:
Sunday 9 March: Stone slalom (Monthly club event)
Wednesday 12 March: Pool session
Wednesday 19 March: Pool session
Wednesday 26 March: Pool session
Wednesday 2 April: Outdoor session (venue TBA)
(and every Wednesday evening until September)
Sat or Sun 12/13 April: TBA (Monthly club event)
Sat or Sun 10/11 May: TBA (Monthly club event)
Sat & Sun 7 - 8 June: North Wales (Club weekend - safety course on Sunday)
Carl will produce a more complete version soon, for publishing on the website and here, bearing in mind that weather and water conditions can lead to last-minute changes.
