BBC1 tonight 21:00Griff Rhys Jones programme on rivers tonight, looks really good.
He's quoted in the Radio Times as saying it's "a disgrace" that landowners can stop canoeing, and hints that he might start a campaign - that's more than the BCU have done. The series should get the issue out in the public eye anyway.
It might be that Constable Savage, the man who arrested Winston Kodogo for possession of an offensive wife, might help bring some justice on the rivers.

Who saw G R-J last night in exactly the same boat as Dave's just bought?
And Dave, before you consider the Washburn, he fell out on Symonds Yat (grade 1 & a bit). There again, he was running it with the skeg down, accompanied by a proper old-school instructor, with his award badges sewn onto his bouyancy aid and his helmet unfastened.

I watched it last night and was guilty of telling him to paddle and brace before he went in
It's good that he's highlighting the problem, hopefully this will make people realise that fishermen / fishing clubs have been secretly taking over the water ways!

Last week Conor & I were shouting at him telling him to J-stroke properly, and Amy likes his Labrador.

watched it this week, very entertaining. and as noted, at least it might bring awareness of the appalling access we have to water!
it was painful though watching him paddle - but credit to him for having a go!
