Okay I will start this one off but I expect others to join in!

Steve, Chris and myself joined Mad Andy and Chris H at the point where the rafts get out of the river, with the intention of running Chapel Mill Falls where the rest of the group were waiting.  Unfortunately I misjudged the line on the wave under NRA bridge and went sideways on, the official excuse is of course that being a fairly new boat to me, the fitting out isn't yet right.  I capsized and made two attempts to roll, but failed.  I bailed and much to my annoyance (at myself) found that I was sat in an eddy the size of Lake Windermere (well perhaps a bit smaller), in which a third attempt to roll would have been straight forward.  I got back in my boat and ran the falls without incident.

My second swim came later in the day when I was accidently pushed back into a tree whilst sat in the eddy further down stream.  I tried to roll but this is very difficult to do when branches are pushing down on your boat.

Right whose next for a confession?

I'd like to confess to going all American and shouting "woo-hoo" while waving a fist in the air after running Bala Mill ('cause I got it right after screwing up last time).

Completely uncalled-for and I promise it won't happen again.

Oh yes - I also said a rude word when I broached on a rock on the lead-in to Bala Mill. Fortunately only Chris T was there to hear it (as he then had to pass me and lead the rapid which I was supposed to run first.)

I am sure that Chris may have heard the odd rude word in his former career, but I was well and truly shocked Mr Secretary.  I was sat well downstream with Mad Andy and we heard you, well basic lip reading came into play, which is why if Darren has got your run on his headcam he will need to blur your mouth out, like they do on telly.

Confession # 1

About half way through the run I was feeling pretty pleased with myself for having a swim free run, when Steve reminded me how many times I had swam the last time we did the Tryweryn. This appeared to be the cue for capsizes 1, 2, 3 & 4 (although only two resulted in swims this time). Found it very hard to try to roll due to the depth of the water and my chin making acquaintances with the river bed!

Confession # 2

Looking far wetter than after any swim after wrestling with my dry suit on Saturday morning.

Confession # 3

Friday night thinking that DILLIGAF was actually welsh!!!

Confession #4

Monday am - Looking pretty well baked after spending all weekend in the welsh sun, despite having factor 30000 sun block in my bag.

Thanks to everyone for making it another great weekend.
