Unfortunately this one was recorded for all to see. See http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lvHTDgM7YVc at about 5'20" in.
Actually the video shows that you did pretty well - you paddled straight onto the wave, but washed off it and were trying to get back on when someone on the bank (I think it was a bald bloke with a camcorder) told you to lean forward and attack it. Which you did, you got back on the wave and then I think you just relaxed a bit to much then caught an upstream edge.
You were ready and waiting for a bow rescue too, unfortunately Carl was just too far away.
