I thoroughly enjoyed surfing and playing around at the weir last night.

It was really good, as i feel i have learnt about different techniques from the member of the club.  I would love to do this again as i feel i have learnt a lot about the way the water is moving and how it can tip you over.

Paul it was great stuff how you encouraged me to go backwards across the moving water, id like to thank you personally for that.

Chris,  i would like to thank you in supporting me in surfing the wave and explaining to me on how the boat could turn over when i was breaking in and out.  I think i got the hang of it (almost), towards the end.

the other Chris, (sorry i dont know your surnames) i would like to also thank you on explaining to me how to break in and out. I know i have done these techniques before but i just seem to forget about them until someone points it out to me.

I would also like to thank Chris and anyone else who rescused me when i capsized, dont know who they were as it happened so fast. Stupid me dropped my paddle when i could feel myself going over, grabbed hold of the bottom of my boat (cant believe i did that), when i was over i was so disappointed as i knew i could have attempted to do my roll IF I KEPT HOLD OF MY PADDLE. What a plonker i am.

I couldnt agree more
After doing the washburn on sunday i thought this was going to be a doddle, i couldnt have been any more wrong,it certantly opened my eyes.
I cant believe how aware and ready you had to be to stay upright.
The water was hitting you from different directions all the time trying to tip you over and you had to be ready all the time to either brace lean or just paddle to stay the right way up.
It was certantly a really good way of learning thanks lads i really enjoyed it after a slow start.

Sometimes the water can be like a jacuzzi/washing machine on the 'fish steps', and Wedsnesday was such a night.  A good night was had by all, despite the fact that by the time we got back to the carpark it was getting dark and I for one had to put navigation lights on my boat
