I've been updating bits of the website and have noticed that we have added no reports to the site in 2009.
While this bit of the forum has lots of discussion about our trips, the website is the first impression for prospective new members and anyone else interested in the club. It would be good to fill it up with some reports on our recent events which, from reading here, it's clear everyone has an opinion on and something to say. It would also be good if they weren't all written by me (not least because I'm not always there).
It doesn't need to be long or even particularly literate (this is the internet, after all). So let's have some volunteers to do a page each on the following trips:
JJ's in May
Sleningford in June
Windermere/Rothay/Brathay in July
... or maybe just a Burrs trip that you've really enjoyed (or not!).
I may start picking "volunteers" in future so it might be best to get in now before I set you some really hard homework.
While we're at it, if you manage to get some paddling done without the club one weekend or on holiday, don't forget to post that here as I for one would be interested to know what you've done ("What I did this summer ...").
Cheers

Steve,
unfortunately I've not had a chance to get much paddling in this year, working in Heysham and commuting is taking its toll on available time. I have managed a few paddles with my scouts though this year, culminating in a two day run on the Wye and Symonds Yat. I will try to get something written up for you about that if you like - under the "What I did this summer ..." heading.
on a general note I will be trying to get out over the next month or so but I will be, at best, an occasional visitor but hopefully with one of the boys in tow.

Hi Dave
Good to hear you're still out there and at least occasionally paddling. Anything you can write would be appreciated.
It will be great to see you out whenever you can make it, the next few weeks will of course be a bit hit-and-miss with holidays but I think Carl will be back before I go away so one of us should be around.
See you soon
Steve
