Dave posted on the forum to see if anyone was up for a Burrs trip on Sunday. He was joined by Graham, Carl & I for a bright & early 9:00 start on a nice, sunny day.
The river was at the low end of OK, but enough to blow the cobwebs away. It would have been ideal if it had been at this level for January's beginners trip.
A successful morning - Dave's first run down Burrs completely upright and Graham's first roll in anger. We tried to get three boats surfing at once on the last wave, but that took more co-ordination than we could manage between us.
All done and changed by 12:00 ready to rejoin the real world.
There will be more of these last minute trips, so keep an eye on the forum or miss out!

| We really need to work on a 'threesome' on the bottom wave, incidentally I seem to recall that there is a picture somewhere of at least four of us playing in the stopper at the bottom of the big weir. |

I must resist the temptation for my usual "selective" quoting out of context .....
(Dave - it's bad enough that we have matching/synchronised paddles but it wasn't that long ago we had matching helmets too!)
